Lucía Campanella

Lucía Campanella started as a teacher of Literature in Secondary Education and continued her studies in Letters at the University of the Republic, Uruguay.

She did her doctorate in co-tutelage between France and Italy, within the framework of an Erasmus Mundus scholarship. She specialized in Comparative Literature, particularly in the France – Río de la Plata relationship.

Since Campanella returned to Uruguay, she has been working at the University of the Republic in the areas of French Language and Literature.

Her research currently focuses on literary translations that appeared in the anarchist press of the Río de la Plata at the turn of the 19th-20th century.
